... species. It shelters the world's largest stand of ancient Bunya pines. With the sea behind us the terrain changed dramatically. Rolling grass covered hills dotted with eucalyptus and gum trees. This is farm and horse country. Neighbors sit miles from each other separated by the small town in between. The wind has changed overnight. Instead of blowing in from the ocean it is coming from the back of the apartment. The ocean is quite calm and the apartment is warmer.

David decided it was time ...

... and we both agreed it was the best coffee we'd had since leaving Melbourne two weeks ago. A simple lunch was followed by a walk in the sun to Hastings Street for a browse of the shops before returning to the apartment and a BBQ dinner overlooking the campers in the Noosa Caravan and Camping ground. Tomorrow we are off to the Noosa Farmer's Market to stock up on some local produce for the week ...

... s accommodation here so that the daughters can cook up a fish feast for us all tomorrow night. Now that's a tempting idea!!!! Unfortunately Clive Palmer missed out on seeing us today as the roads were totally clogged with traffic as everyone in Queensland drove to have a look at his Palmersaurus exhibition, - being free entry this weekend. We would have had to walk miles to get there, so decided to give it a miss. Sorry Clive, maybe another ...
