I felt like a 1930s school boy from Eton, visiting his father in his plantation in the colonies today as we went on an elephant safari, similar to a jeep safari, except for one key difference, your vehicle is an elephant. We plouged through fields of monkeys on lumbering grey beasts, pausing to take a photo of a couple of rhinos enjoying a good …

Wildlife spotting today. We went canoeing down a crocodile infested river, then went on a jeep safari in the afternoon down to the Indian border. Yaks have been replaced with elephants, and today we saw a few when we went exploring …

And let me tell you, we knew it was dirty because when I turned around, Isabelle had looked like one of the chimney sweepers from Mary Poppins. Her face and neck were coated with what looked like black powder sugar, all because she was sitting with an open window in front of her. The hotel was laid out ...

In the jungle, the mighty jungle

A travel blog entry by keeleymclaren on Apr 25, 2014

... for a while. After handing in the bikes minus a few spokes we chilled at sweet memories for a while whilst getting lunch. That evening we took a walk along a trail by the river and waded in the river. I didnt go in too deep as id seen a few crocodiles and wasnt gunna risk it. On the way back the sun was setting so we snapped a few pics of the river, had some dinner then headed back to the guesthouse. In the morning we had a last meal at sweet memories before catching the 9am ...
