Monday morning and we leave base and climb into cloud, hopefully heading
for Grand Ballon along La Route Des Cretes in the Vosges but unable to see anything, stop for a coffee on the tops and there are cows in the field with bells - sounds like we are
at a music school, cloud lifting and off we go for the 55 mile La Route Des
      Cretes around the ...

head towards the Vosges and the National Parks of Alsace Lorraine, north of

but decided to keep heading south, through Nancy and on to the Ballons des
Vosges National Park. Good choice. Ended up at Camping les Jonquilles, with ...

We left our luxurious campsite reluctantly and are now back in France where our adventure began. The drive was long, but interesting. We passed by Lake Constance which looked very nice as a place to visit. The Zepplin was invented there and there are museums and airship rides! We saw two airships over the lake. Our route took us around the Swiss boarder, so close we almost entered once or twice! (It costs so we were avoiding it) Mrs Sat ...

... back via that which was much more my kind of riding than downhill! The routes are a little like a treasure hunt searching for signs for which way to go, I managed to follow the route for a while before taking a wrong turn and ending up on the Road back to Orbey - it was fun whilst it lasted though, my video is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SaUG1- OTfE
