... boys see us! The boys have been given instructions on how to run boat,flush toilets,open and shut locks. The locks are automatic now. Don't have to get off and do it manually anymore. All the boys have boat positions. Colin and steve are the rope men. Lou is engineer (sits and listens to engine and drinks). Graham was captain till he lost a boy! ( buoy attached to side of boat). So he is now rope boy and Colin is captain.

This is our hotel room. Small and pokey. All these photos I called " from" is for Plombieres les-Bains.this is where the train took us from Dijon to Plombieres les-Bains. Beautiful old place. Lots of Roman features! Just come back from dinner. Very nice. Lou shouted a bottle of champagne to celebrate the start of our journey!. Weather a bit drizzle. Hope it clears up for our canal ...
We sailed also through a national monument which was an "underground canal" which is heritage protected and looked after with pride. Saint Albin's tunnel is 680 metres and very well lit which is just as well as our tunnel light fused! (It is all sorted again now)

Isi typed up some blog and renamed the photos before going to bed as still very tired but feeling much better. We do not have a phone signal here so definitely no internet from our Mi-Fi which is a first but we are in the middle of nowhere surrounded by forests and ...
... long stretch of 10 kilometres without any locks and moored up after the first lock going down for a change, and that was so much easier, at Girancourt. It was only 17 kilometres but the 15 locks took it out of us. When we tied up at 16.30 John put the parasol, chairs and table outside on the grass and went to sleep waking at 6.30. Isi was feeling off colour, perhaps not enough water in the heat (only 1 little bottle of beer the whole day) and of course ...
