Since 1955, a cable car can take you the first 500m. Should you choose to walk up the (now very civilised) track, its a good 90min. Due to time constraints, we chose to take the cable car. From that point, the next 300m takes over 20 min. ...

We got up this morning to rain and low cloud, such that you couldn't see the mountains. We went down to an incredible buffet in the restaurant. ... as expensive here as Switzerland was last year. Kitzbuhel is the birthplace of Toni Sailer who is the only person to have swept all three ski races at the Olympics, back in the 50's in Cortina. We saw his house, which is well marked for tourists. After dinner, we walked back and are now sitting in the lounge having drinks and listening to piano music. I'm trying a peach ...

      Day 4

A travel blog entry by edosullivan on Aug 20, 2014

Day started wet but just as we left the hotel it stopped and started clearing. We went to Fieberbrunn to a park up in the mountains. It was colder than the other days but again we had great fun. Another kind of obstacle course for kids and a roller coaster. Had lunch there in another alpine restaurant. After lunch we went to Familenland. ...
