Pleasant lodge with log fire which we shared with friends. Dinner and breakfast very nice. Great place for family break.

From Halls Gap in Victoria, we flew back to Western Australia and then drove several hours to Pemberton. (we like Pemberton....stayed in a lovely cottage with a backyard...it even had a bath. That excited me!) Doug and Kevin collected and I went on the Donnelly River Cruise. It was pretty interesting how this river opens up into the ocean on a secluded beach. I wouldn't want to get stranded there. After two days, we drove into Perth ...

... the girl who had to do them appreciated me not long coming off Fraser Island (whoops sorry). The fashion sense out here seems to be neon neon neon. I'm 25 years old and cannot carry off wearing this colour clothing so I decided to go half way and have my nails painted neon pink. The Asian girls in the salon loved it and I felt so girly (not like me) it was a nice change. Chris and Julie took us on a day road trip around the hinterlands. ...

... rare luxury!) and headed to the bar to meet up with the East Coast crew, turned out to be quite an eventful night!

Lazy day to settle in, wandered around, caught up on emails then headed for a really nice run along the beach front before going to the girls' leaving do. I said I'd go for one drink but let's be honest that never happens, one turns into two, then into three, then into four then it goes to pot!

Woke up for a day of diving the Great Barrier ...
