The day started beautifully with a large number of people Para-sailing and sailing about on Lake Como this morning. Very nice thing to wake up to. After breakfast we left this lovely place and, with our GPS friend made our way into Milano.

We know that there is no parking in the city centre, we also know ...

We all boarded a ferry. There are a few choices you can make at this stage, the ferries go in different loops, some up and down the lake, some in a big circle, some trips go for hours, some just take you past large Villa's and some people just want a ferry to take them to the other side of the lake. ... platform and it's really quite difficult to get cases up and down. Don't know how the oldies get on. Now there are mountains on the horizon with snow on the top. Beautiful! As we get closer to Milano it has become very flat. There seems to be less horticulture/orchards/vineyards and more green paddocks/crops. Maybe they grow wheat up here? They surely need a lot for all the pasta they eat. Got into Milan on time then found my train to go on to ...

... Ned. (I told Emma via Whatsapp that he would be the best dressed kid at the Cricket ground and she told me it was not the cricket season. Oh dear.) We then visited the truly magnificent Duomo, if there is a larger one I haven't heard about it, massive and then as you would expect, ripped off for lunch at a acfe on the Plaza, 54 euro for 3 beers, a mineral water and two toasted sandwiches. Oh well, their economy needs the help. More walking ...
