Just when we thought Venice was the most beautiful place we would visit in Italy, Varenna may have beaten it into second place. Neither of us can get our heads round the fact that we are actually seeing what's around us. The apartment is amazing and the views from the balcony alone are worth the trip. Claire has also befriended a blind cat so we keep having to think of excuses to go and see the lady so Claire can rub the cat.

... br> But by the time I woke up it was time for dinner and we went to the local family run pizza restaurant that was recommended. They spoke very little English but we got pizza and it was very good.

That's one thing I miss though just going to a restaurant and getting meat and vege. There is never this option on the menu. So sick of pasta and pizza!! Will cook some meat and vege in Nice when we have an apartment.

... 8217; culture here or is it because the parent company is based in an English speaking country? I’ll have to do some more research. (I’ll put the brochure aside for my scrap book.)

So it looks like they sell coffee machines, but not ones that make cappuccinos or lattes or anything else; just expressos.

But that’s not all – on the back of ...
