... weather. The rain stopped and eventually the sun came peeking through the clouds around 10 AM. Lake Shore Rd. did not always provide us with a view of the lake, but more often a look into life along the shores of this vast lake. Great drive time yesterday. The rain and a good audiobook worked in our favor. 607 miles behind us, a break in the clouds and six of seven discs of a suspense thriller, "The Night Gardener" a children's book by Jonathan Auxier, we have only 900 miles left and five days to get to Baudette. We are about to pull off I-90 and head North up Highway 75 in the lake country ...

10:12am We were up at 5 today but couldn't start driving until 8. There was a rooster crowing in the neighborhood that we parked in. He started crowing his little brains out at like 1am....he was still crowing when we left. Sublimely annoying! On the plus side, pilot has gooood coffee and I got a breakfast sandwich with halepenos! if you know me at all, then you know that breakfast sandwiches are one of my favorite foods.....fresh raspberries being my absolute ...
