... area. We had a lovely lunch there overlooking the butterfly enclosure where they have lots of butterfly species in an open area. The gardens are about 63 acres so we took a train tour around them. But we spent most of our time in the rainforest and tropical plants area, funny about that!. We have just come back from dinner on Ocean Drive (lovely Art Deco buildings) ...
We arrived in the Bahamas today and unfortunately we didn't have a whole lot of luck with weather as it was raining. Luckily we were all decked out in disney ponchos and ventured out on our Discover Atlantis tour. It was incredible checking out the Atlantis Hotel - they have pretty much the most epic aquarium I have seen! SO MANY FISHHHHHIES! And turtles! And rays! And sharks! *cue overwhelmed excitement
Drove today over 3 hours to Miami along toll roads most of the way. A very busy city freeways everywhere..... ( glad David is the driver) ;) Unpacked at the hotel and headed off to look for snorkel and fins for our cruise trip... Successful ;) I got fins, mask and snorkel, David only managed mask and snorkel :( no fins for big foot. Drove to the beach, lucky .... managed to find a parking spot right on the ...
... tunes and the weather was fine as I drove south. I would stay in Florida for an undetermined length of time. Fort Lauderdale might be a semi-permanent home for the foreseeable future. Or I might stay a few weeks and move on. I will figure it out as I go. Have I mentioned this retirement thing is fine?
