... and had lunch at Cobblers. Great lunch and a waitress from Texas who teaches Kindergarten there but comes to Dubois to escape the Texas heat in the summer. We returned to camp and at 5:30 Eddie and I went to visit Joan and Chuck Collier. They used to live in Snow Hill and about 10 years ago started to build their log cabin in the Dubois area. We traveled seven miles up a dirt, stone road ...

... off the cliff. Alex and I shouted! We approached, and saw that it wasn't suicidal – it was perched with ease on the edge. Luckily, Alex caught it all on video! Next, we decided to make the quick trip to Mt. Rushmore – even knowing how many hours of driving we had ahead of us. And with cell/GPS reception getting fuzzy we were a little nervous about getting lost. We took the plunge anyway and found ourselves in the twists and turns of the beautiful black ...

You just can't do it long term, as you need to recharge, but the problem is that Brendan can't recall if we have power or not tomorrow night either. After we had claimed the site, and put out our washing to dry, we headed off to the visitor's centre ...

Today, we wanted to be on the 9:00 tram that goes up Jackson Hole ski resort. We made the 9:15. When we got to the top we had waffles in a cabin called Corbet's Cabin! Claire had brown sugar and butter, I had peanut butter and bacon. Yum! Then we hiked around on the mountain. The trail we went on took us to Cody Bowl on Rendezvous Mountain! The snow was so deep. It is so cold that it can stay on the mountains ...
