... as you look at Viatape. On the end of Moto Toopua were some very sad looking overwater bungalows at what was very obviously an abandoned resort. Sadly the decaying Bora Bora Lagoon Resort wasn’t the last one we’d see.

Bora Bora... i waited all my life to go there and see if what people say was true.... It has been voted the best island on Earth. A tiny rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean... it is just better than ever described and I think I will go there over and over again...
Imagine a little green rock, surrounded by the greenest lagoon, and then surrounded again by the deepest blue sea...

Soon, Ken, of La Plage, whom I booked the Champagne trimaran for four hours
for a party of twelve, met us at the pier. I was immediately swept
up by his friendliness and “joie de vivre”.

We had booked in advance a full day tour of Bora Bora...a morning 4 X 4 tour of the island itself, and an afternoon snorkeling tour of the beautiful bay, with a lobster lunch on one of the Motus, the islets scattered around the perimeter of the bay.
