    ... emergency rations and cooking gear I'd carried for the Atlantic crossing. Which meant I still had a hot dinner, and even espresso with breakfast this morning. Bravo.

    Then it got dark, and the insects descended! So kind of had to shut myself in the plane and leave the lights off - kind of like boating on the Gippsland Lakes! - so an early night.

    ... tyre up. They charged me 75 cents to use the air pump! Repeat. THEY CHARGED ME 75 CENTS TO USE THE AIR PUMP! Last time I looked air was free. We had the coins, but that's not the point, they made me pay to pump up a tyre. Arseholes.

    ... the other side of the road. Seriously? We hoped it was just a coincidence, but realized it wasn’t. I’ll just leave it at that. The laundromat was housed in a storefront attached to a house and when we walked in, it looked like we were entering someone’s basement.
