... court. We are directed to 5th Avenue Mall, where we have a large and reasonably good sweet and sour chicken, BBQ pork and rice meal and a monster Coke for about $12. We walk back to the hostel via a park with a free concert for the Gay and Lesbian front, to find we have been upgraded to the luxury apartment, with ensuite bathroom and TV, and in the process, we have been left un-taxed. ... hour flight?

Needless to say, we missed our scheduled connection and just made it for plan B. we will now arrive in Anchorage at 11.45; I just hope whoever is supposed to be meeting us has kept up to date with the situation. Ahhh, another 5 hour flight.

As we took off, I was surprised to see the wreckage of Saturday's plane crash in plain sight. Not the sort of thing to fill you with confidence as you are taking off.
