    We spent 2 nights in Duluth. We stopped here to visit our ex neighbors and it is on the way to Park Rapids. We were glad we did. Duluth is a very beautiful city. It is Minnesota's version of San Francisco. The majority of the town is on the side of a hill. I don't know how they handle that in the winter. It's on Lake Superior and is a major hub for freighters that sail the Great Lakes. We stayed in a marina that is a campground in the summer and boat storage in the ...

    We left Idaho on June 6th, after an amazing bike ride in the Grand Tetons. We rode from Moose Junction to Jenny Lake. The ride was a gentle up hill all the way.     ... re-route to seek the headwaters of the Mighty Mississippi River. We headed west but also north and landed just outside Walker, Minnesota for the night in a lovely campground. Minnesota is the state of 10,000 lakes according to most license plates - though I did see some newer looking ones proclaiming "critical habitat." And lakes there are; Walker is situated on a bay of Leech Lake. We will continue on tomorrow to seek the headwaters of the Mississippi.
