... Assisi, about 3 hours north. We stopped for lunch in Spoletto, home to a summer music festival. We are staying in a lovely bed and breakfast about 5 miles from Assisi, with incredible views of the town. After resting a few hours, we're now off to have dinner and explore the town. We woke up early today and did some last minute packing and cleaning. We ate breakfast then went off to Perugia, the capital an biggest city of Umbria. The drive took an hour and a half, and wasn't particularly nice, but I got to talk to you most of the way which was nice. We arrived at the hotel and this funny old Italian lady who kept grabbing me and Nims cheeks checked us in. It's nice and clean but the wifi doesn't work so great, but it's only for a night. ... golf for the afternoon in the marvellous Antagnola Golf Course. The course was set in the hills of Umbria and was simply beautiful. A huge castle (being restored) overlooked the course and the hills and scenery were stunning. Helped perhaps by the perfect blue sky and puffy white clouds.
