        ... movie about Grand Canyon.

After, we spent quite a while walking around the rim and getting lots of awesome pictures...Max and Darren just had to climb down and freak us out a bit!

Once we had been to the gift shop it was pretty much time to head back and we'd had a good 5 hours there.

On the way home we stopped at Bedrock to see the Flinstones area and saw lots more Elk too. We stopped at Boulder City to eat at Tonys ...

We didn't have much planned for today but had lots to do tomorrow to get ready to hit the road again.

On our walks around Avon Darren found a little consignment store that sells boards etc...but also sells second hand for cheaper. He bought a new stomp pad for his new board and as we walked back, the heavens opened! We managed to make it to a starbucks so we could warm didn't last long and it was bright sunshine ...

Luckily Chris Bannister had been invited to perform with them, giving a much better musical sound. The legendary Jim Horn was also playing, which was good. The meal was soon ready to be served, however, it was an absolute disappointment. Chicken that was uncooked, and the salmon seemed to be missing this year. Unfortunately, it was not good value for money, and I would probably not ...

... they were exploring the area, one can see how this beautiful area can be used by so many groups of people. I sat on a seat for a while and absorbed the atmosphere. I eventually roused myself and walked around the rocks, taking photos, before returning to the Mountain Chalet to take some photos of Jimmy's performance with Jim Connor. I am not that interested in Jim's concert, as I have seen them in previous visits to Aspen. Jimmy was introduced, and together ...

... also got a cool tankard too. There were a few German guys on stage playing music but there weren't really enough people to create much of an atmosphere....bit of a shame. Maybe everyone here just didn't think there were any Oktoberfests in October so didn't go!! Who knows!

Once we got back home Darren wanted to draw some more, but we didn't have a rubber or sharpener so thought it was a good reason to walk around Avon some more and enjoy the weather. The front of our apartments ...
