Oct 2 - the days starts with a walk on Chestermna's Beach -- this is good!

we complete a tour of Tofino - some changes but, happily, not too many I recognize old stops!
The Common Loaf bakery looks just like it did 20yrs ago and the products are just as healthy and tasty (we are in crunchy granola country).

Roy Vickers studio is going strong - quite busy and several 'consignment' items over $16,000.

Oct 1 - let me start by saying I hope this isn't a duplicate!! still in the land of 'wobbly' internet connections!

Unfortunately is was still a bit misty so the view wasn't ...

We arrived in Canada to see the rolling hills and deer leaping through the bush. Maple trees leaked golden transparent sap. I even saw a chipmunk at the lodge. The local's were very friendly and me and Ella enjoyed the lodge. Very big rooms and very good service. Now it's time for the fun. To WONDERLAND. The theme park was fulled with queasy roller coasters, fun family rides and interactive games. My favorite ride was ...

Well just a quick update before we hit the road and start our 2nd trip over to SE Asia. We got back home and had another wonderful summer at our cabin in northern Manitoba. My ongoing interest in gardening has really taken shape and at the end of the summer I had the 4 4'x10' raised beds constructed in 2012 in full vegetable production. Also one 3' x 16' flower bed along the south facing back wall of the cabin in full glory, 2 new raised beds and 1 north facing flower ...
