Unofrtunately on that day we were subjected to our very first Australian thunder storm and the rain came down like that from a power shower head and our clothes were drenched beyond immediate rescue.     Port Macquarie was another strange little seaside town with not a lot to do. Luckily we were only there 2 nights and the carnage of the first night in the hostel which involved a horrendous amount of goon meant that I could barely function the next day let alone do anything 'touristy'.     We left Coffs Harbour early in the morning on Saturday for Port Macquarie and were looking forward to seeing Jim and Vivienne, who had kindly asked us to stay with them at their beautiful home in Port Macquarie.
