Great if you book online!

For the price we found it for online, it wasn't bad! The rooms were clean and very large. It is extremely well located near the Italian building and Republica Station as well as close enough to the Pinacoteca (20 minute walk). The staff speak NO English though, so download a Portuguese dictionary BEFORE arriving.

I had always anticipated travelling to South America would be much more difficult than it actually turned out to be. I would have never had the financial resources on my own to travel to this part of the world, but connections with a good friend of mine who happened to be a flight attendant for Air Canada helped this all become possible. I turned …

I love food markets! They are so vibrant and energetic! On Saturday morning we headed out on the metro to this closest stop to this market. What we didn't realize was that there were a lot of other markets and stores around this area and ...

... we explored the neighbourhood of our hotel. This area seems to be a very good neighbourhood: lots of modern high rise buildings with offices and condos, many shops, cafés and bars. Obviously, we had to get our first Caipirinha at a local bar. Yummy! Then we continued walking around for another two hours before dining at a Brazilian steak house. Oh dear, I have never seen nor eaten so much meat before! For everybody, who has not experienced a ...

... It was a blue sky day and as I was finishing up my lap around, I decided that I was in desperate need of a hat. With my travel hair and the lack of sunshine in my life, not to mention, the previous 12 generations of Miller's, the Brazilian sun was not my friend today. Need something shady to do.
