We took hike around Kenai. Visiting the Holy Assumption of the Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church. It is one of the oldest churches in Alaska. Fort Kenay, Parish House Rectory (considered the oldest building on the peninsula) and St. Nicholas Chapel. The area has rich Russian history.

Dan and I had a quick breakfast of cereal, toast and fruit at the B&B at 7AM then drove the half mile to the fishing guide's location. There we were outfitted with waders and slickers, and met our two fishing companions for the day, a banker from LA and an accountant from the San Fran area who also is an investor in an organic blueberry farm in Oregon.
