... we lit the ‘Braai’ and tonight we cooked chicken on the fire with homemade coleslaw, salad and impeccable red wine brough with us from Constantia.

Tomorrow, we decided we would do one big Game drive instead of 2 separate ones and we agreed we would take bacon and eggs with us and have breakfast in the bush.

... S Africa after an amazing time, meeting the people, seeing the animals, being in the bush, seeing Mandelas old house. But will be happy to see our family, pets and friends again. ... African customs about all the medication and stoma supplies I was carrying. I even got the body scan done departing Sydney, and they did not say anything (it must only pick up metal?). I was also a little worried about emptying my bag in the miniscule airplane toilets, but it turned out to be a cinch! ... when you get a Six, you have to swap gifts with someone else, whether you like it or not. While we were in the mall in Rustenburg, we all bought Greuls. We then played and I ended up with my a wooden lighthouse, which was the Greul I bought. If you don't want your Greul at the end you can always swap with a willing person. ... Paul was also looking out his side of the car. When we looked at the road for animal tracks he noticed a pair of dung beetles. The male was rolling along the ball of dung and the female was hitching a ride. He then fell off and for at least a minute was trying to flip himself back on his feet. In the meantime the female just sat on the dung ball waiting for him to sort himself out. Paul got out of the car and helped him back on his feet.
