... in the world, The 5 star Palace of the Lost City at Sun City.

As we arrived we were greeted with the most opulent hotel I had ever been to. A huge African palace with massive towers built in an old volcanic crater greeted us, large bronze statues of leopard bringing down impala, bronze fountains and actual size elephant statues. In the lobby the roof was 30 metres high with an impressive jungle picture on the ...

... br> We caught the amazing thing that happened next on film, it must have been good as the other game drivers (as by now we had about 7 vehicles all watching) punched the air with joy after they had seen it.

The leopard stalked the warthog for about 2-3 minutes before suddenly lurching forward towards the nearest and smallest warthog. Bret our driver said that he was a young and relatively inexperienced leopard as he went too soon ...

We continue our drive and stop at some of the dams thinking there will be some animals cooling off, but they are not there either.

... with it! Didn’t see any of the big animals, but had some great up close sightings of giraffe and zebra, and zillions of wildebeest! In the heat of the day when the animals are all resting out of the sun, we thought it a good time for us to have a rest too, so here we are back at the hotel drinking beers and updating the blog! We are going to head back into the park around 4pm when it has cooled down a little, in the hope we might be able to
        find some lion. Fingers crossed!!!
