... high 60's. This is, by far, our favorite camp site yet. Beautiful and quiet it over looks the ocean and is near a nice residential area where we went for a walk. They rent bikes as well and the boys want to do that in the morning. We had a bonfire, made s'mores and watched the sunset over Cook Inlet at 10:30. What a great day! These are just some of the almost 1,000 pictures I took yesterday. I can supply anyone who wants a link to the shutterfly site with all the ...

... the big firepit while the adults ate and chatted. Very nice, relaxing evening. (I have to admit, too, that after 5 weeks in the RV, it was nice to spend a few nights at Doug & Marlin's house where we slept in an actual bed with a nice big shower to use each morning.)

Let's see: some of the other places we saw while in Palmer included a musk ox farm, a reindeer farm, the Interact Ministries property, the visitor's center (that included a ...

Razor Clamming Fools

... amp; studying text & videos, we hit the beach at Ninilchik on a hugely low tide last Thursday (with all our "stuff" for clamming) and ran into about a million other folks doing the same thing. It was so much fun, and there were families and people of all ages having a great time digging those razor clams. We did much better at clamming than we have yet at fishing. Going again, yup, yup, taking the dogs next time, yuppers, collecting clam recipes ...
