I decided I wouldn't head to Antwerp as I wasn't feeling in the mood for big cities as they are just too exhausting so I decided to visit Mechelen instead. It was still raining but this time I sensibly put on a coat. Again I parked right in the middle underneath the main square but there wasn't really much to look at. ... conference room which was guarded by security armed just enough to make you feel like you shouldn't be there. I explored the company store and was taken back by their alcohol selection.

All in all, this visit proved to be extremely informative. We got to lead the discussion, which allowed us to talk about what we wanted to talk about while also sparking an interest in what they do.

We had our second and last breakfast in Liege which was different but just as spectacular! This time we had something like French toast but less batter and around a section of breadstick accompanied by some lightly sautéed chopped apple. We had the usual muesli, delicious bread and home made jams. It may seem we are obsessed with food but it was a big step up from our usual fare.

Brussels is a beautiful city.

As we wandered the streets looking for our hostel we stumbled across castle ruins, centuries old buildings and parks. We dined on mussels, soups and Trappists (monk-made beer) for 3 days while exploring one of the largest collections of musical instruments, and art galleries strewn with Magritte.

... We didn't realize we had booked a 4 star hotel! haha. We got a great fare though- it ended up being cheaper than the hostels in Brussels! So we unpacked the little stuff that we brought and planned out the remainder of our day.
Our first adventure was to the Comic Strip Museum which was not the best spent 7 euros haha. But we got to see Peyo and his creation of the Smurfs! ...
