        So, a few more thoughts about the Bay of Fundy with the curiously high tides…there is a spot on the St. John River called Reversing Falls, located in St. John, New Brunswick. This is actually a place where the incoming tide pushes sea water against the outflowing river, forcing sea water upriver. Later at low tide, the water flows the opposite direction, the river pushing the ocean back where it belongs. ...

        up bright and early to get a head start on the day we headed up into
        the White Mountains to the base of Mount Washington to visit the cog
        railway there.
