... related steaming natural stuff. We also pampered ourselves a bit by going to their mud and sulphur baths - I hadn't been too keen on the idea to start with because I thought the mud would be icky and the natural hot spa would be too hot for me (more memories of Nozawa onsen!) Actually I really enjoyed it because it was much cooler than Japan (ie not ridiculously scalding!) and the mud was pretty fun!

... with lots of lovely people- looks like our last 3 weeks is going to perhaps be the best 3 weeks ever! Our next stop is Lake Taupo where we do the tongariro crossing from (also involving climbing mount doom) a 19km/12mile hike which takes a full day to complete! The weather is set to stay nice so we should hopefully have a good day for it- just hope we manage to complete the whole thing! Today is 2 weeks until we come home, looking forward to seeing you all at home really soon! ...

She even showed us how they make the grass skirts they wear. It takes months to harvest the grass, cut it, dye it, let it dry, and then make the skirt.
