Beijing is BIG! And it's busy.

I arrived quite late in Beijing, leaving the south train station at 23:30. So I decided the easiest (and probably most expensive) way to get to my guesthouse was to take a taxi.
As soon as I had checked in, and before I had dumped my bags in my room, I was asked if I wanted to join their Great Wall tour …

Coming into Beijing on the train... It would appear that the rest of china took all of beijings personality and Beijing took all the cranes from the rest of china. Off the train and into the customs hall, feeling confident and cocky after our easy time in hong kong... Out the door and holy ****...BEIJING!!!! "hotel? Nice room"... "taxi?".... People …

I arrived only yesterday, but it seems I've packed about a week's worth in a little over 24 hours. First I guess, actually being here has dispelled any pre-conceived idea that I had about it. 20 million …

Beijing is a big big city, but coming from Shanghai that isn't even to obvious. I loved the hutong's that still spread through …

Very well located hostel within walking distance to all the main attractions. Staff are friendly and pleasant. It has a very pleasing atmosphere away from the bustle of Beijing.
