Well that was a bloody big hill!
12th December 2012
Location: Nelson, New Zealand
After a not so early wakeup call (the alarm didn't go off!) we managed to get ourselves sorted and on the bus to Nelson. The good thing about the Magic bus is it drops you off at your door and picks you up at your door! What more could you ask for? Especially as it is a standalone fee of 15 dollars each wherever you want to go in Kaikoura and to rent ...
Abel Tasman National Park
... on the crossing but we couldn't get close enough for a good look. After the seal colony we turned around and started heading back towards the main land. Again the wind decided to change direction and was blowing into us, much stronger now and was creating white caps on the surface. Angie works for Nelson Tourism so has put together an itinerary for us to see as much as we can while here as well as spending quality time together. ...
House sitting
... lots of properties around NZ which the staff can rent quite cheaply. The house we visited them at had 4 bedrooms right on the beach. We had an amazing weekend.
During the week we've seen an amazing sunset and visited Freja as her preschool - it was so cool, they have a teepee, sand pit and loads of other cool stuff. After school we went to the local river for a paddle.
Great time.
