As we sit down to write this blog the sun has come out. Not the same when we left this morning, low clouds and rain. I ate in a Chinese restaurant overlooking the square, watched a balloon artist and listened to an accordion player. An entertaining was to spend dinner. The shops are all open really late so I meandered back via a few quirky ...

The weather is in the mid-70's and very comfortable. Maybe the 2000+ feet above sea level has something to do with it.

We visited the George Vanderbilt's -- Biltmore House and estate, is on 8,000 ac, has 250 rooms, 33 bedrooms, 43 bath rooms, 65 fireplaces, 3 kitchens, an indoor pool and was built in 1895. The grounds were designed by Fredrick Law Olmsted - the father of American Landscape Architecture. The house is a result of the numerous visits ...
