that evening we boarded the "Miner's Castle" for a much-anticipated 2 1/2 hr Pictured Rocks boat tour
as if on cue, the skies were beautifully blue & the setting sun provided optimal lighting for our ...

We arrived this evening and checked into our really nice hotel. We then went back out to see if the visitor center was still open. We found a well lit rest stop that of course had a No Camping and No Overnight Parking sign. However, we decided to stop anyway and take a chance. We were getting pretty tired and the lights on the ...

... has been my experience, they
weren’t all taken. This would all
work out. I was in a beautiful spot. Campsites just a stones’ throw from the
beach. My tent was still soaking wet and needed to be unfurled and dried out,
anyway. I hadn’t had a chance to walk to the lighthouse and I could do that in
the morning. See, all good. I set up camp, started a fire to help smoke out the
‘skeeters and made some dinner. Tonight it was brown rice ...
