Boarded the train and took a beautiful ride to Takayama. Absolutely gorgeous mountain scenery the entire trip up. Took about 3.5 hours. Forrest-covered mountains, deep river valleys, small towns nestled on the hillside. This one lake had an eerily-cool mist develop over it, even as we rode by it. Totally awesome.

... laughed out loud at her embarrassing showing and felt relieved that she had set the bar pretty low. I pampered my fish with a nice deep tissue massage and proceeded to remove it's head and hopefully spine at the same time. Day 7: Rainy Day in Old Town

Our legs and back were screaming to leave but our stomachs were having the time of its life. The sushi was amazing. We tried beef sashimi sushi for the first time. Alright almost at Takayama. Holy **** there's so much snow on the ground. O Oh, we might be in trouble, this is something we were not expecting and are definitely not packed for.
