Today was our second and last day in Xi An. It was a very relaxed day, we woke up at 7:30 and left for the terra-cotta warriors, not before seeing the factory where they were made. Again kids left with expensive ceramics, I don't know where they keep getting the money from. We visited the three sections, I felt like a bit of an expert knowing all the stories about the warriors and their history. It surprised me ...

There's not a lot to do in the city, compared to some of the more popular tourists haunts like Tokyo and Kyoto. It has a slightly slower pace though, and a less artificial feel to it (particularly compared to Tokyo). I enjoyed taking it easy, getting a better insight into Japanese customs, and moving away from the tourist trail.

Konnichiha!When I arrived in Japan on December 8, 2011 I didn't know what to expect.
