We woke this morning to more snow, big fluffy flakes pouring down. Breakfast this morning was a plethora of small dishes delicately placed on our table. Vegetables were steamed with the onsen spring water in front of us while we blanched mushroom, spinach and pork in a broth on our table. Miso, pickled vegetables, partly cooked egg, tofu, seared salmon were just some of the other items we had. After breakfast we headed off to the famous onsen here. There is nothing ...

... of the trees to reach the groomed run. Headed in early as the fog was super thick and a bit disconcerting when you can't see a Metre or two in front of you. Dinner was at a small Jazz bar and the owner made the most amazing food we've had on the trip. Goyza, squid, sashimi yum yum. This morning we took a bus and train to Nagano. When they got back we all went to bed. Overall it was the best day in ...

Point to note- found out on our first evening that you need to book in breakfast or dinner the day before in most restaurants. Ended up finding a bar and grabbing Jesse and Talia a pizza while Kylie and I tried dumplings from the front of a shop. They were ...

... in which I had to stop and go to the bathroom to clean up. Besides that, this afternoon was so much fun. The banana crepe with chocolate sauce, cheesecake, ice cream, and cream was also absolutely amazing. Coming back to the lodge for a hot shower felt amazing and a dinner of Japanese hot pot was served. This meal was perfect for a cold winter night. Tomorrow, we're heading to Tokyo after a morning snowboard, which I am very excited ...
