    ... name is Hiroto and came all the way from Tokyo by train.

    On our way to Biei, where the Blue Pond is, we got surprised by the ocean of flowers on the side of the road. The colours of the flowers are so bright and go in waves over the hill. Of course I take some pictures and I would love to stay here and watch the flowers all day, but there are so many other things we will see today.

When we were trying to find the way to a nice small hostel we actually found a cheese factory in the middle of the forest.     In the morning it was still raining and the clouds hanging low. No point to go on a mountain when you cannot see anything

    So we decided to visit the lavender fields and town in Furano closed by. There farms that grow lavender - and for once not rice fields or soy beans - and those are attractions to Japanese tourists. There is a local train line going there which came handy

    Unfortunately the weather changed to become overcast and scattered rains. So we step out at Sapporo - the 1972 winter olymic game host city - and explored the botanical garden.
