... store/grocery metropolis/ mega mart sitting at the end of the mall like a Macy's but spanning across the surface area of an entirely separate mall. This was just the main mall. ... is basically the Okinawan equivalent of Dairy Queen, but more Baskin-Robbins-esque regarding their ice cream. It was so cute. So many flavors to choose from but I opted for one scoop 'Okinawan Salt Cookie', one scoop 'Ube' (which I later learned is purple yam). The ice cream was sooo, so good! Okinawan Salt Cookie was vanilla with little pieces of this short bread cookie with sea salt. The Ube was a little difficult to describe, but sweet and creamy, not too dissimilar from ...

... over the place (including beautiful Parrotfish) but its amazing to see as well. Some of the shrimps were bigger than any I have ever seen. And if you buy something on the first floor, you can have them bring it upstairs for you and they will cook it right there for you. I did not get a chance to do that then, but It is definitely something to try in the future while I still live here in Okinawa.
