... adventure. I chose Pineapple Park which was inconveniently allll the way in Nago (50 minutes away) and we started our day. The drive up went by smoothly but as we approached Nago we noticed pockets of ominous looking storm clouds punctuated by pockets of blue skies and sunshine. It was the perfect looking day one moment, and a gloomy stormy looking one the next. I had my fingers crossed for sunshine at the park.

... sticky film of moisture that was gross in itself, but the rain had cause something else to happen... It was as if every creepy crawly demon insect that had been dormant during the rain had emerged from their hiding places to attack me. I'm talking spiders, gnats, flying ants, moths, and snails. My skin? The perfect disgusting adhesive for these pests to attach themselves for my TWO MILE walk to the library.

The castle is on a hilltop overlooking Naha, the biggest city in Okinawa and the main port and transportation hub. Therefore, visiting the castle also provides great views of the city below.
