So I found an apartment--it is in Amsterdam's De Pijp area, which my BCG handbook describes as "the up and coming bohemian neighborhood." Apparently it used to be a little seedy a few years ago, but is on the upswing. My apartment is very nice and even has two bedrooms--plenty of room for visitors. Really. Come vist.
