      ... out of the vehicle and into the care of Abdul, a charming chap who steered us down winding alleys and narrowing passageways until we arrived at a non-descript doorway. "Et voila" we had arrived at the Le Coq Berbere.

      Bachir greeted us as we arrived, showed us to our room and let us know that dinner would be served when we were ready, and since it was about 11pm, we were ready any time...

      Arrived safely after a great flight from Australia. Traveled business class with Singapore and get 10/10 for service and great food. Transferred to Lufthansa and again good service but beds not as comfortable. First day just wandered around Manchester and got our bearings. Busy place and very industrial. Stayed at the Crowne Plaza and loved it very central just walked to everything. ...

      Breakfast with Helen who was very interested in discussing Crossthwaite family finding out that Fred is identical to his dad, Fred humour and looks....after all he was the eldest of 6! And his sister and brother are humorous too in a lesser degree! All very much alike even though they don't keep in touch! We are going to visit a town called Crossthwaite where his family originated so will explore more ...

      ... he will actually miss me more than I think - even If he did think I was going to Africa! I'll miss his silly remarks! haha.

      A big thank you to Nanna and Grandad for the money and Lynne, Steve and the Little Clan for their presents and cards!

      So I'm nearly packed and I'm going to spend the rest of the day with Joel! Which I think is pretty silly as I'm spending a whole 3 months looking after kids! haha
