    We left South Bend early so we could drive 4 1/2 hours across Indiana and into Ohio to watch the Akron Rubber Ducks play an afternoon game (Sophie really wanted to see two of her favorite things - baseball and rubber ducks - together). Canal Park is a great little ballpark and the Rubber Ducks won, so we had fun, but there wasn't a single rubber duck to be found in the souvenir shop. From there we drove on, out of Ohio, a little way through Pennsylvania, and into New York for a camping ...

    Tomorrow is travel day. We leave Dundee, Ohio and head towards Petersburg, Michigan. Our stay here has been more restful and laid back than our previous stops. I am so glad Mike chose this particular area.

    ... How about lemurs and baboons, a Spur Turtle and kangaroos.

    No, no this is not a zoo. OK, maybe it is with all the camels, zebras and water buffalo with the largest collection of sheep, goats, deer, antelope and elk I've ever see.

    But our favorite was the giraffe.





    A long day, but we had a blast! Ain't Freedom great?
