Three days into the cruise and we've settled into a comfortable routine. Coffee delivered to our cabin, a shower, and breakfast, followed by book club for nearly an hour. What a life! Meeting up afterward with Larry to decide what to do until we meet with new found friends for happy hour always seems to turn up something to fill our time. Followed by dinner and the evening show, a glass of wine, live music, conversation with ...

The bed at the Waterfront Marriott Hotel was very comfy, with plenty of pillows. Our balcony afforded a panoramic view of the Seattle Harbor. Just south (I think) was Pike Place Market....a place we've enjoyed visiting on several occasions when we weren't so tired. ... lunch and the suitcases arrived. After unpacking, meeting with the butler, and a trip to destination services, we were ready to sign up for the Internet and explore the ship. At 4:15, we had our first evacuation drill and at 5:00PM we left port with the band playing and the flags ...

Felt a pull to walk a new part of the neighborhood today. I discovered a park with trails, and it was a joy to follow them up and around a wooded ravine with no other agenda. That is when I came upon a large colony of oyster mushrooms, which I will cook up in butter. Another joy for me is fragrant flowers, and I found some lilacs in and ...
