... UIC Hospital (Iowa City) recovering from a major surgery to remove a cancerous tumor growing out of his humerus (not funny). ... been camping in Hamilton a week for a family reunion in town. He was a gray-haired hippy from Colorado, and was traveling with a sweet dog that he lovingly called a Velcro breed. Here in Fort Madison, Iowa (my hometown) packing snacks for the trip. Costco visit (thanks Julie & Nevaeh) yielded enough granola bars and salted nut rolls to grow very tired of them forever.
