Well, we are off! The excitement has started, and for some, the anxiety levels have risen, lol. Dad, oh dad, it had been 35+ years since he has flown to Israel, and I am excited, yet scared for him to deal with the different regulations and such. They announced the normal "terrorism" ...

We spent the month of November in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Neither of us had been there before, and since it was the off season, we were able to get a nice condo for less than $1000 for the month. And while it was "off season" - it was still pretty warm most days.

There were also accolades from newspapers and magazines posted. Well deserved ...

... kinda defeated the objective, but we tried it, and it was okay at best. Anyway Lois enjoyed the shrimps, which I didn't really, so I finished off the pulled pork. It was bit of a disappointing meal compared to the look and feel of the place but never mind! The next day was our time to visit the town of Savannah. On our way to our parking spot, we let Paula Deen cross the road, which Lois was quite excited about as she has one ...

... Becca’s favorite back alley we crossed through Forsyth Park and stopped at the local American Legion to grab a drink and dinner. We ordered our beers from a familiar looking American Legion/VFW bar and walked down the hall to Betty Bombers All-American Eatery. The eatery was an updated old-school diner decked out with old Coke and military memorabilia. Kaitlyn and I split the hot pastrami and fries. The pastrami was piled high and had a great peppery ...
