We are leaving Savannah, GA today and sailing directly to the North Central Bahamas.

For those who are interested in a little "nuts and bolts" passage planning - Here is a link to a video of our weather router (Chris Parker) recorded this morning. I ask Chris to comment on our plan.

... It's a pretty park with lots of big wooden double porches houses with lovely old trees with Spanish Moss draped all over.. There is also 2 large bridges over the marshy tidal areas/water.... A rotating bridge to St Helena Island and a large bridge to Hilton Head area.. There is also a large Marine base on Parris Island nearby.. Then we were off to Savannah...took another hour ...

... a 1930s ice cream parlor. In addition to the ice cream there is an old fashioned soda fountain and props & posters from his Hollywood career. I ordered a scoop of the Chocolate Chewies & Cream and Kaitlyn ordered the Pistachio. The CC&C was dense and creamy and loaded with chunks of fudge brownie and toasted pecans. The ice cream was rich and creamy, the fudge brownie was dense with a bit of bitterness and the toasted pecans were sweet and ...

... full of old people we don't have to listen to any hanky panky just a bit of snoring. A nice lay in followed by breakfast then back in the car as now we get to head South. Savannah has been a nice place to stop and if you are old and wrinkly reading this why not get a doctors note to certify you can fly then head over here for what could be one of your last great holidays.
