Tim woke up last night with some sort of stomach bug and was not in any shape for a grueling 3 hour bike race through the mountains, so we took it easy and relaxed in the morning sun with the pups instead. I know he was disappointed that he had to cancel the last leg of his race, but I will say it was nice not having to drive all the way out to the start early and ...

We called it a night and packed up dinner to go, bidding Woodstock farewell after our all too brief visit (a cute little town lined with specialty shops and adorable restaurants). On Saturday, the entire family (missing a couple) all went to Grandma's in Brookfield! I should have taken before and after pictures because that place really got trashed. There were about 30 people and Grandma fed all of us, no problem. She's a champ, that lady. She had everything all planned out with entertainment prepared and all. We played ...

Departure from Nyack (we got dropped off just a bit out of NYC to avoid traffic) went well. We cycled approximately 65 km (40 miles). It was quite hilly (a lot more than what I am used to) but we eventually made it to Beacon, NY where we camped for the night in someone's backyard.
Second day was a bit easier, still hilly but not as steep. We also cycled approximately 65 km (40 miles) from Beacon to Rhinebeck, ...
