... 8.30pm, returning our final hire car without a hassle. Alamo had been great the whole trip - we had no issues with them at all, the cars were great and the process of getting them and dropping them off was seamless. Shortly after midnight - following some baggage delays - we finally took off, leaving the USA behind for now at least. We had such a brilliant time, and we are all sure we will be back again before too long. Fingers ...

... flying over America on a wing of a plane, especially when you dipped and banked left or right. Me and Fletch then went on the Hollywood Haunted Towers which was also surprisingly great. I hate to say anything is ugly, but it was not very interesting. We went up in elevation and temperature. We got to Alpine, Ca. You would think that it would be forested with that name, but the trees are thiner and duller than what I envision as forest. Then we are in high desert. Much like other ...

... see how much of a traffic jam of cars there was... At 10.30am! All those people were either heading into LA or perhaps further up the coast... But the traffic was backed up for kilometres. I thought Sydney traffic was bad but this was a whole lot worse! Usually the traffic in Sydney is only that bad in serious peak hour or if there is an accident or a car has broken down but it seems as if this was just how it is here day to day! I think it's a combination of no ...
