Our morning started with an early boat ride on the Rio Frio. We had great views of a Southern Lapwing, Green Ibis, many Kingfishers, and a Boat-billed Heron, along with some rather large Caiman. We had such a great time on the boat ride that following lunch back at the lodge, Steven called our boat driver to see if we could return for the afternoon. And so we did. Lunch was served in front of the hummingbird ...

The town of Sarchi is famous for its arts and crafts factories. Colorful oxcarts - which are one of the country's National symbols - are being produced in Sarchi for more than a century.

Right next to the church in the town of Naranjo, we discovered a huge coffee mug, which is about 2 - 3 meters high. We walked around the church and found a small ...

... of feeders and we got good pictures. Saw some interesting animals....cota mundi (small animal with a long nose) and also a two toed slough in a tree. We stopped in La Marina de San Carlos to visit a super market....such fun to walk up and down the aisles and also see the extra large vegetables in the sidewalk vendor stalls...giant carrots. Then on to our beautiful El Tucano hotel for three nights west of Aguas Zarcas. Beautiful grounds and we ...
