Seth- I love coming back to Penn Yan whenever I can. It really is and always will be home for me. I've been living in NYC for nearly a decade and still I get that 'going home' feeling every time I get into the region. Clean air, clear skies, and nice ...

It was a great 2nd day in the finger lakes! We started the morning by going to Watkins Glen State Park, which is right at the base of Seneca Lake. On the way back we saw a little footpath going down a slope into the area so we went that way. It seems like access to a picnic area (with tables) would be more obvious but we didn't see another way to access it even once we were in there.

It was worth it to do that little ...

... br> The ride back was uneventful. Sometimes, round trips can be a bit of a drag but I did see more Canada geese so that was nice and I checked out the lock at the Aqueduct Park in Palmyra when I got back around 2 pm. I wasn't up for touristing in Palmyra although I think I would have enjoyed it otherwise (not being tired from biking and all). I decided to follow Rt 31 east for as long as I could. It actually ...
