This resort is another one with a beautiful pool (and another one available to us through Resort Parks International).
We went into Hermann, toured the Stone Hill Winery, the Hermann Wurst Shoppe, stopped in a Brewery (for Greg, of course), and then had a bite of BBQ. A good day, despite the oppressive heat (which seems to be the theme of this summer's travels!)
Long hard day of rolling hills, heat and humidity. No one on the team made the whole 106 miles but we came close. Had a real relaxing evening after the sponsored lunch though. Had a really good pork chop dinner followed by watching the new Planet of the apes with the team. Crazy ...
Made it as far as Warrenton, Missouri on day 2. As you can see by the picture, Braddock has become a lapdog. Nice weather and mostly decent roads so far. Tried a short cut in Western Kentucky, though, where the two-lane highway had bumps and dips and a very narrow bridge over the Mississippi River. Probably won't do that one again. Nebraska ...
