    ... us a while to find Zoro, who typically hides when he is scared or uncertain what is going on. Eventually, Ben found him downstairs in the guest room.

    Beth said that as soon as she got home in Tuscaloosa, Miley came out to greet her, so I'm sure that was very nice!

    ... small children over the edge, a la Michael Jackson. Honestly! After completing our hike, we were famished. So popped into a local Pizza Hut for dinner before retiring to the campsite to have showers and hit the sack. As the sun was setting, someone in a nearby pitch started up playing the flute for some reason. Luckily, they were excellent at it, and we were lulled to sleep feeling like we were surrounded by little fauns, dancing through the forest. Lovely! Deej ...

    ... it was so wet it was essentially a bog, and there was no way we could pitch our tent there. We've since selected a flatter, drier pitch which hasn't already been reserved and we've set up camp there. We finally had showers, after two days without and had dinner of leftover subway. I'm now relaxing in the tent watching the sun go down outside. Laura is barely keeping her eyes open as she's exhausted from today's epic drive. She's an absolute angel... I'm so lucky! Deej ...

    ... at Zion Adventure Company to pick up some specialized hiking boots and socks for a planned hike into The Narrows on Sunday morning.

    So, we're looking forward to the trip! Nothing left to do but get ourselves to the airport tomorrow morning. I hope everyone enjoys the blog over the next couple of weeks. We'll be sharing a lot of photos, videos, and stories throughout.
