... popcorn and fresh hot milk. Also spent some time in the boat, on one of the main tributaries to the wetland and a day on a big fazenda (cattle ranch). For some reason the area is what I imagine the amazon is like. Plus it's got the most gorgeous clouds and sun sets (and it rains everyday). There were some epic thunderstorms, and we even went searching for a fire started by a thunder strike. Not the best idea, when we realised it struck high voltage power lines.... We backed away ...

... truck for a jeep safari deeper into the Pantanal, where we saw lots of lively monkeys in the trees, and also a nocturnal tour where we saw a rare Coral snake. These red, black and white snakes are one of the most dangerous snakes in South America and are so venemous that if bitten, you have to have the area amputated! There is no anti-venom. ... pochopili, že tomu tak není. Tedy alespoň ne pro nás. Ještě před první cestou do Brazílie jsme mrkli do portugalského slovníku, který nám připadal velmi podobný tomu španělskému.
