and we finally made it! It's been a busy past few days, but now we're here!!! We had our 8 hours in transit in Rome yesterday and then landed in Bucharest (Romania) in the early hours of this morning :) We got picked up by our hotel shuttle which went really well and oh my goodness the hotel was AMAZING! ... beautiful this city is especially with the trees in the mountains dusted with snow. The city is quite like Auckland in the way that it has such a variety of nationalities in the community. The people are actually really friendly which I was surprised at as most of the people on our flight to Bucharest scared me haha. ... my mouth hanging open. Then man came back and brought me to the little side building and introduced me to another little man. This one unlocked the door, asked if I spoke English, and took me on a little tour! It was wonderful! I like the Romanians already. Inside this museum were original manuscripts, paintings, a printing press, and chant scores from the medieval times. After my tour, he left as quickly as he arrived, and I kept on walking.
