... Didn't even know there was a Detroit, TX. However there is a famous native son, John Nance Carter! Who you may ask? John Nance Carter was the VP of the USA from 1933-1941. He was actually born south of town, but later encouraged his parents to buy a house in Detroit and move to town so his younger siblings could be near a good school. The main drag (which is about one block) is actually pretty cool looking.

Was our last night with the group, had a drink together before saying our goodbyes. Unfortunately the hotel was so massive that we lost touch with everyone unless we happened to be at breakfast at the same time, such a shame because we had such fun with them all.

Yesterday was Down Syndrome Awareness day and today performers and crew all wore our Dress Down for Down Syndrome tshirts we purchased from a family on the show who has a son with Ds. It’s a fundraiser they do every year and it was nice to be a part of it this year. DeeDee got photos of everyone on the lot in our shirts and we had some audience members wear their shirts also.

Right. A quick Google search tells me most of it was actually shot in Marathon, Texas, which is a cool 600 miles South West from here. I should have known better.

We've entered our third month here at winter quarters in brisk Hugo, Oklahoma. We're both glad not to be fighting snow like our family and friends are up north, but believe me when I say, we're FREEZING down here all the same. We keep forgetting to bring our water hose in, so we have to wait half of the next day for it to thaw in order for us to get more water. Good times. :)
