... abandoned our planned hike in favour of watching the sunset for the hot tub just steps from our room.
forgot our BoGO coupon for a local steakhouse so we hunted for an alternate spot for dinner. Thanks to Yelp, we ended up in siam Thai Cuisine in Glendale. Will was so-so about his Pad thai. We had a Coconut hot pot with enormous scallops. The best was my spicy thai fried rice with basil. ...
... The spa is gorgeous so I will definitely get more pictures of that and the hotel as the vacation progresses. Dinner at 8:30(again all times listed will be local time) at the main restaurant Palo Verde.
Dinner at Palo Verde was amazing. The specials were grouper and 1/2 duck. I opted for duck(sorry Daffy) and it was beyond delicious. Oh and the cactus lemonade is great but it's definitely not the kind you sell to drivers passing by for 50 cents!
We are staying in the same hotel at the moment for 4 nights. It's a real treat and I even considered unpacking my case which I haven't done once yet. As we didn't have to travel anywhere today we had the morning of but annoyingly we weren't really anywhere near the centre of Phoenix.
